My wife got on the modify/book feature (though I've been unsuccessful) and they already posted it! We only booked late yesterday. We are on the Oct 9th sailing. Yeah, I got an email offering tomorrows cruise balcony for $349! Oh well, I want the 7 night, BTW, when are you going? You say the Lido is close to the action, too close do you think?

I'm going tomorrow. Trying to find some friends at the last minute to go for that price. I'm glad that you were able to delay a week and then get an upgrade. That's great. I think you'll be fine in that cabin. Close to pool & pizza. There may be joggers above you, I don't recall, but still a nice surprise.

your group is liable to get some extra perks, especially since so many have cancelled. There may be some good upgrades. May also be able to be more flexible on dining room assignments, times, etc. And hey, more pizza for you!!!!

Happy Cruising,

Mike

PS- Post something as soon as you return.

We were two doors down in 9287. Thought it was a great location - just a quick walk to the pools and the buffet. Much too convenient to get my afternoon gin and tonic to bring back to the balcony! We didn't have any problem with noise from the deck, either above or by the pools (above you are deck chairs); the most we heard was some of the calypso music in the afternoon (which was fine with me). Hope you have a great time! I'd be happy to help with other questions.

Mike - I just looked at the deck plans and realized your cabin is next to the one we were in (9285 is an inside across the hall). The hall in front of 9273 is the pass-thru; while you can go down the hall past your cabin to an exit in front of 9293, we found very few people using the hall. Most folks from other decks use the stairs/elevator and then walk on either side of The Studio out to the Lido deck, rather than past the cabins on either side. And you're right - The Studio just looks down on the lobby. However, it was fun to watch the putting contests from up above! (They moved them inside due to wind/waves - we rode around the Gulf while Hurrican Dennis came ashore.) There's also afternoon music in the lobby. I hope this makes some sense...
