Breakaway Questions

I have sailed NCL in the past (about 4 years ago) and this will be my first time on Breakaway. We leave on Sunday for a 7 day Bermuda cruise.

We have the ultimate beverage package (an offer we were able to choose at booking). How does this plan work? Are you charged for each drink and then at the end of the cruise, they are credited or is there something on your cruise card that indicates you have the beverage package? Also, what if you purchase a beverage that is more expensive than the allotted amount?

Does Breakaway have a walking deck along the promenade?

Any other suggestions or things not to miss on the ship would be greatly appreciated. I have been reading reviews, but I always welcome more information.

Your card is labeled UBP, while in NY you will be charged city, state tax.

Your bill does not have the drinks listed.

We did not encounter any drinks that went over the dollar amount that is allowed with the UBP.

It's been posted here, that it's 11 dollars, you are only responsible for the overage. I do not know this first hand.

There is no walking track per say on the Promenade (deck 8).

The jogging / walking track is above the pool deck. However we walked deck 8 a lot. Usually having to stop each pass around at Maltings :)

Unless your offended by Tea Bagging Llamas, go see Rock of Ages.

If you want one of the best burgers I've had in ages go to Uptown Grill.

Jeric working the outside at Maltings is the best server I encountered onboard.

I do not drink, so I can not comment on drink package. Lots of posts.

Do not miss: potpie in O'sheehan's. My daughter ate one every night. She likes the wings too, not my favorite.

Uptown grill: great place to sit. Burgers looked fantastic, but they are huge. I ate the salad. Most people do not know about this until days into cruise.

Burn the Floor- the singing and dancing are amazing. I loved rock of ages also.

If you love music, walk around at night, there is great live music.

During the day, oceanfront is a great place to hang out(quiet).
