edwar2cf Posted September 29, 2015 #1 Share Posted September 29, 2015 We are thinking of going on the Carnival Dream out of New Orleans on February 7 next year. Fat Tuesday is February 9. We will drive down the day of the cruise, but I'm concerned about parking for the week. Does the cruise terminal have dedicated parking? Does anyone know the cost, and whether it is higher during Mardi Gras?
denrusk Posted September 29, 2015 #2 Share Posted September 29, 2015 (edited) $16.00 per day at the port and it is only for cruisers so no issue at all. Edited September 29, 2015 by denrusk

WLHyatt Posted September 29, 2015 #4 Share Posted September 29, 2015 Parking at the port is for Cruise passengers only. It is not a shared lot.

TxChick Posted September 29, 2015 #7 Share Posted September 29, 2015 My suggestion is not to leave that day. I'd stay about 45 minutes outside because traffic will be insane!

Funkat Posted September 29, 2015 #11 Share Posted September 29, 2015 Does anyone know if it would be a problem maneuvering a full size pickup in the Fulton Street garage? And if the parking spaces are sufficient in size? Thx
Raxter54 Posted September 29, 2015 #12 Share Posted September 29, 2015 Does anyone know if it would be a problem maneuvering a full size pickup in the Fulton Street garage? Funkat Posted September 30, 2015 #13 Share Posted September 30, 2015 Thanks for the reply. My husband has an extended cab F-150. I'm not worried about the height, as it is a normal height for a pickup. My concern is tight spaces that may cause someone to damage the sides getting in & out of cars on either side of us. I would love to save the $ but don't want to do it at the expense of damage to our vehicle. My husband leans towards just paying the difference to part at the port garage due to the convenience, but the cost is twice as much as Fulton St. garage. I'm the penny pincher.:)
Raxter54 Posted September 30, 2015 #14 Share Posted September 30, 2015 Not sure if the parking spots at the port would be any larger than at the Fulton garage.
