Canadian Guider Posted October 10, 2015 #1 Share Posted October 10, 2015 Our Carnival cruise in December ends in San Juan, PR at 7:00 am. Our flight home does not depart until 4:00 pm leaving us with a few hours in San Juan. Are there any hotels near the Cruise dock that will store luggage for a few hours? How far is the main town centre from the cruise dock? Can we get taxis from the cruise dock or town centre to the airport later in the day or are taxis mainly around in the early morning when the ship docks? How far is the town centre to the airport? Any suggestions on things to do in the few hours would also be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Elaine2 Posted October 11, 2015 #2 Share Posted October 11, 2015 In OSJ, the restaurant Barrichinna will hold ur luggage. It is within walking distance from the cruise ships. Should not be a problem anytime of day to get a taxi from OSJ to the airport, about a 15-20 minute drive. There is a lot to do in OSJ, just do a search on the CC boards . Hope that helps [emoji3] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Elaine2 Posted October 11, 2015 #4 Share Posted October 11, 2015 You should look at the website puertoricotourism.com and also Trip advisor has a lot of ideas about things to do in OSJ. I wouldn't book a tour with a company or the ship. They are really expensive ! Better to have a plan as to what you'd like to do before your flight leaves and hire a taxi driver to take you. Just be 100% positive that you and the driver completely understand each other as far as price and time required for what you'd like to do/see. You could also just spend the majority of your time exploring OSJ on your own, lots to see n do !! You'll probably meet other ppl on your cruise that also have flights later in the day. Make plans together and then you'll save on the taxi ride to the airport !! Have fun, Happy Sailing ‼️‼️‼️

We also have a 4:00 flight at the end of Oct. and have made plans to go to Marriott Stellaris for the day...9-2:00. The airport is only 5 min. away. Have a great cruise. conshycruiser Posted November 1, 2015 #7 Share Posted November 1, 2015 There is a restaurant literally right across from the carnival dock that held our luggage. Unfortunately I can't remember the name of it. It was something tropical. They held our luggage for a couple dollars. Good luck.

Karlou Posted November 5, 2015 #10 Share Posted November 5, 2015 Barrachinas is a few blocks from the cruise port. It is a great place to store luggage.
