wendy123 Posted September 28, 2005 #1 Share Posted September 28, 2005 Hello! I am looking for suggestions on what to do in San Juan at night. I have read over the shore excursions for Carnival but I am hoping someone can give me some input on what they would do. Thanks so much!
Lisa S. Posted September 28, 2005 #2 Share Posted September 28, 2005 Wendy I have already book the night walking tour with the Legends of Puerto Rico. Only $30 per person. I have talked with Debbie who does the tour on the phone a coupe of time and have recevied several e mails. Its a 2 hour walking tour to see some of the sites and get some history. Then I figure I will find a nice place to eat and hit a casino before going back to the ship. I think you and I are both on the Victory on 10/30/05 sailing

sillylizzie Posted October 11, 2005 #6 Share Posted October 11, 2005 Depending on how 'active' you want to be, I would suggest the Bioluminescent Bay Kayaking Tour. It was one of the most amazing excursions I have ever been on.
North Carolina Cruiser Posted October 11, 2005 #7 Share Posted October 11, 2005 Do you have a web site or contact information for the Bioluminescent Bay Kayaking Tour? It sounds great but we're only in San Juan till 9PM??
sillylizzie Posted October 11, 2005 #8 Share Posted October 11, 2005 Sorry, I didn't see that. Then the Bio Bay Kayak Tour wouldn't work for you. It's from 9pm on. Though if you get a chance to be in PR when you have more time, this is definitely something you should check out. :)
wendy123 Posted October 12, 2005 Author #9 Share Posted October 12, 2005 Thank you all for your replies it is much appreciated! I am thinking of the Bioluminescence Bay Moonlight Tour. I have read from some that if it is not a full moon then it is not a good choice. Can you please verify Sillylizzie? I have posted a new thread for the Bioluminescence Bay Moonlight Tour hoping someone will know for sure. I would like to do this but since it will take up all our time, I wanted to make sure it is worth it. Thank you again for taking the time to post:)
sillylizzie Posted October 12, 2005 #10 Share Posted October 12, 2005 Actually, it is the opposite. You want there to be NO light in the sky to get the full bioluminescence 'experience.' THe moon sheds way too much light on the water. It's similar to something that glows in the dark (which is esentially what these 'lil buggers do). The brighter it is outside, the more subdued the glow is.
wendy123 Posted October 13, 2005 Author #11 Share Posted October 13, 2005 Thank you so much for the information. I think we will book the tour. One more question.. are you kayaking the entire 5 hours? Thanks:o
sillylizzie Posted October 13, 2005 #12 Share Posted October 13, 2005 Thank you so much for the information. I think we will book the tour. One more question.. are you kayaking the entire 5 hours? Thanks:o No, not the entire 5 hours. We kayaked straight for about 3 hours. ALso these are the sit on top ocean kayaks, and to be perfectly honest it was a bit more physically intensive than we had anticipated. However, it was still incredible!
