Here's info on taxi JFK to pier

Just got back from Golden Princess out of New York. Taxi was $45 flat rate plus tolls ($4.50) and tip from JFK to ship terminal. When returned taxi was on meter and was $44 plus tolls ($4.00) and tip. Both trips took a little over half an hour. Remember it was Saturday mornings. I highly suggest using the express walkoff option when disembarking. You wll have to handle your own luggage (which I liked better anyway) and are the FIRST ones off the ship. Otherwise you may face long lines waiting for taxis. We did not wait at all.

Ditto...we did not do self help but told them we had an early flight (QM2) and they got us off first...right to a cab and right to JFK..also on a Sat. AM...perfect ....FYI LuAnn

When we landed, there were four ships (counting us) in port. It was a mob, and being we were not in a hurry because we were staying post cruise in NY, time was not important. It was convenient not having to deal with the sweat line trying to get a cab.

We took the bus to JFK, caught the tram to the car rental agency, picked up our car. checked into our hotel and we were set. When done in NY, we drove the car back to JFK to catch our flight...:)

Betmart or anyone else,

JFK to Brooklyn (Red Hook) or Manhattan terminals? $48.00 plus tip from terminal to JFK, that is still cheaper than transfers from the Cruise line. If gas prices stay near $3 per gallon all summer there is sure to be a rate hike or surcharge for the high gas prices.

Chasetf,

Same question for you, Brooklyn or Manahttan? Bus? Cruise ship transfer or private company shuttle? What do they charge, if you don't mind me asking?

Thanks.
