Newbie and Star

We are trying to plan our winter cruise which think will have to be during March due to my son school schedule. We are seasoned cruisers but CCL exclusively. After reading Mitsugurly reviews I am dying to branch out. I'm nervous yet excited to try something new. Seeing we are on a strict time frame there are few options, then ad budget on top of that we are really limited. I think even doing the cheap routes it might be our most expensive vacation yet 😬 so we want to choose wisely keep with what we know or venture out? Looks like the Star is our only option. It's more expensive than some CCL we are looking at but we get to pick a package which I'm factoring into the cost making it a bit more reasonable.

 

So tell me a bit about the Star.

Will my 15 yo who will be weeks away from 16 be bored? I don't see waterside and things we are used too.

Tell me about Harvest Caye... private island is how its listed. We love half moon caye!!

We haven't cruised with kids, so I'm not the best to give advice on that, but there are water slides. They aren't as big as on the newer ships, but they are there...

 

 

Also, Harvest Caye is not open yet, so no one knows what it will be like.
