Carnival Valor/Atlantis visitors

We're sailing the 12/18 E. Caribbean on the Carnival Valor and we're interested in booking a room at the Comfort Suites on 12/19 to enable us to enjoy the Atlantis facilities. However, we're only in port from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. and wondering if it's worth it? Has anyone done this Atlantis "thing" while in port a short time? What time do the slides open and are the lines really long for the slides? Just wondering if we'll be spending our short time there in lines?

Would appreciate any info. This is quite a bit of money to spend for the room and not be able to fully enjoy!

Thanks so much!

A 7am arrival means off the boat at 7:30am at the earliest. A 2pm departure means everyone on board by 1:30pm. Figure a 20-minute taxi ride each way, check-in/check-out, changing clothes, back and forth across the street between Comfort Suites and Atlantis. Add it up and you might get 4 hours of Atlantis use for your room price. Only you can decide if it's worth the money.

Don't forget that on top of your room rate, there is Bahamas sales tax, an energy surcharge and a maid gratuity fee. These charges add another $30 at least to your bill.

(When we visited Atlantis, the lines were not long for the slides.)

Just want to add. The date you have chosen is in HIGH SEASON (Xmas holiday) The Atlantis will be packed, which means there will be lines at the slides. Also, the slides and pools close early, so everyone is try to get a full day in before 4:30pm when they close.
