Beach bar/restaurant?

Looking for a cool local place to chill after an excursion. Cold drinks, a view and just a good overall vibe...I usually like a "hole in the wall" local place. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Best place in my opinion (especially to be out of the cruise crowds) is about a mile south of town. MyBar at Sunset House Dive Resort is awesome.

 

Great drinks, cold beer, appetizers and a beautiful view. If you can get your excursion tour company to drop you off there, even better. Then you will have to walk back to town, or have them call you a cab. It's not a bad walk.

In this day of teardowns and modern buildings being erected, it’s refreshing to see that some of the venues from our youth are still standing. Sunset House’s “My Bar” is one such venue – an oasis in the form of a large, thatch-roofed building that overlooks the water, where many happy memories have been created by families over the years.

 

My Bar is a local staple for many residents . . .

Calico Jacks :)

agree with MyBar at Sunset House! its the opposite directly of 7 mile beach so its a great locals hangout. met lots of locals and walked a little further down to the quiet Smith Cove for swimming.
