Don't know if you've stayed at the hyatt before, but I stayed last year and love the hotel. There is a people mover, have to go through the convention center area, that will take you to Bayside Marketplace, it's free. Runs on tracks above by a control, has no driver. I thought it was the strangest thing having no driver. We enjoyed the convenience. I came across some pictures taken from a view from the hyatt you might enjoy. http://www.AlisaAllan.fotki.com

Miami downtown Hyatt is an excellent property. Not surprising that parking is expensive since land values are so high. Hope you got the Hyatt thru Priceline. I paid $55 in Jan 04.

I got it for $100 I know higher than priceline yet WAY lower than what is on the Hyatt's web site!!!

When you check in ask for a balcony room with a good view. Mine was on the 19th floor and looked out over the city and Biscayne Bay.

Yes there is. But make sure when you park in the garage you get the ticket validated--then you get a slight discount. And I mean slight! GO on priceline. We got the room in Jan(04) for $52.00.

I did not get the cheapest rate but I am happy with the rate i do have!!!
