_beachgirl_ Posted December 1, 2015 #1 Share Posted December 1, 2015 I'm interested in finding one of the beautiful wood cutting boards I've seen in pictures from Belize. Does anyone know if I can find these in the Tourist Village?
Rare crewsweeper Posted December 1, 2015 #2 Share Posted December 1, 2015 There are shops in the TV that sell wooden objects. You can look for a cutting board there. But you should also try the crafts market outside the TV on the other side of Fort Street. Prices are a lot cheaper. And there should be at least a couple of vendors. _beachgirl_ Posted December 1, 2015 Author #3 Share Posted December 1, 2015 We will be outside of the Tourist Village for a little bit (we're hopping on one of the water taxi's) so I'm open to buying out there as well and supporting the local economy. 2 questions: Ballpark price, how much would one of these cost me both inside or outside of the TV? Is Belize a country where you are expected to haggle?
Rare crewsweeper Posted December 1, 2015 #4 Share Posted December 1, 2015 No idea on price, but yes with the street vendors, always haggle a bit. Just double check that it's made in Belize (usually true with the wood products), not Guatemala or China.
