Public Transportation in FLL?

How good is the public transportation if Fort Lauderdale? Last January when we were in San Diego because they have the trolley and a good bus system we didn't need to rent a car to get around. We would like to go to the Museum of Art- King Tut Exhibit and maybe to the Everglades- which I guess we would need a car for.

Well where are you staying? If you're staying along the beach or SE 17th Street you can take the Water Taxi to the museum, or a regular taxi wouldn't cost much as it's very close. I don't really recommend the bus, but if you want... http://www.co.broward.fl.us/bct/welcome.htm

If you're going to the Everglades though, yes, you'll want to rent a car.
