laslomas Posted December 18, 2015 #1 Share Posted December 18, 2015 For an upcoming cruise I am toying with the idea of booking one of the Dining Packages and have a query that I cannot find the answer to. The first package listed is a 3 meal package at a cost of £46.02 which seems good value. But as the actual dining costs vary quite widely between the different venues is there any stipulation on where you can dine with the package? hawkeyetlse Posted December 18, 2015 #2 Share Posted December 18, 2015 Some places will be completely free with the package, others will use up one meal of your package and also incur an extra charge. Full details can be found in the FAQ. It's up to you to figure out the best way to use your SDP meals. If you are dining at a venue where the SDP does not actually save you any money compared to the regular price, then don't use your package there, ask them to just charge you the normal price and save your SDP meal for another venue. laslomas Posted December 18, 2015 Author #4 Share Posted December 18, 2015 (edited) Thank you both very much for that link. It answers all my questions. I had searched the NCL website under FAQ and I could not find that info anywhere. Strangely, I just tried again to satisfy my curiosity and still can't find it on the UK website, it must be hiding somewhere. The Cruise Critic Forum is so helpful and useful. :) Edited December 18, 2015 by laslomas
hawkeyetlse Posted December 18, 2015 #5 Share Posted December 18, 2015 The UK page is a lot less wordy/detailed: Dining Packages (click on "Read more") And unfortunately there are a couple of inconsistencies between the US/UK terms (e.g. the cover charge for Bayamo).
