Turin/Torino - rail stations

I just realized that my TGV arrives at Susa and that my "connecting" train to Genoa/Genova leaves from Nuovo.

 

Does anyone know how easy it is to get from one station to the other. I've tried the Torino metro site and I can't tell if the metro is up and running or not.

Right now I have a vision that I will be arriving on opening day and that I will be the first passenger.....a 30 second celebrity on the local news....(which still leaves me 14 1/2 minutes of fame).
