Texas_Diver Posted December 25, 2015 #1 Share Posted December 25, 2015 I'll be in Belize in February via the Caribbean Princess. I have booked my dives through the ship. From what I understand, the dive op (Hugh Parkey's) picks divers up directly from the ship, and returns us directly to the ship post-dives. I always like to buy a dive t-shirt at the ports. With the Belize scenario described above, will I have an opportunity to do so? My experience is that there is ALWAYS an opportunity to spend your money on a cruise, but I just want to be sure that I'll get a dive shirt. King Neptune Posted December 26, 2015 #2 Share Posted December 26, 2015 When I did that same itinerary, we had time at the HP store before being taken back to the ship and I bought a T-shirt.

omeinv Posted December 26, 2015 #4 Share Posted December 26, 2015 Same experience. This is one of the only (maybe the only) place I'd book the cruise's dive excursion again. In part because it's about the only way to get decent diving there; but also because the Hugh Parkey staff really did make it worth it. After your dives you go to there little island, and hang out at the shop/bar/restaurant. There certainly was no pressure to buy anything, but it's there if you want it. It's also kind of cool when all the other passengers are lined up for tender boats to have the dive boat pull up and take the small number of divers off, and head in the opposite direction from the tender boats. :) Harris Denver, CO

Thanks for the info about the shopping opportunities.
Laurie S. Posted December 27, 2015 #6 Share Posted December 27, 2015 I used them for one excursion to Tenereffe Atoll, but did the other two with Seasports Belize and had great dives.
