Playa del Carmen or Cozumel?

I need some opinions here - because of the repositioning an change of itinerary with the NCL Sun we will anchor in Playa at 8:00 am and depart at 10:00 am,

arrive in Cozumel @ noon and depart @ 10:00 pm. Given the following choices what would you do?

 

9:00 Excursion with Edventure Tours:

 

Visit Tulum

Dos Ojos cenotes

Lunch at La Buena Vida

Visit some private beaches

 

4:00 - Catch the ferry to Cozumel

5:00-8:00 Cozumel shopping and what else will there be to do after dark?

 

Our other choice would be -

Disembark in Playa - it would probably be 9:00 with tendering

Take Collectivos - (taxi vans) to Visit Tulum

noon - Ferry to Cozumel for a day at the beach - resort closes at 5:00pm

Belize - Caye Calker beach and snorkeling

We do want to see some ruins while on the cruise - so we are torn as to what to choose in Playa and Cozumel.
