World club gold

I am World club gold and am travelling with a friend who has never travelled with Cunard.

I assume i will get invited to the captains repeat cruisers event at some time.

My question is will my friend also be invited?

 

On Celebrity cruises if one person has a status level then anyone else in the cabin has the same status. Is that the same with Cunard?

There was a thread about this very question a few weeks ago. Here's the answer from Cunard:

 

"While your spouse/travel companion may join you at the Cunard World Club Party, Disembarkation Lounge and/or Senior Officer's Party as your guest, we are unable to extend all benefits to guests who do not yet qualify for them."
