Price of taxi or shuttle from Chitavechia to Vatican area?

Can anyone help with cost of taxi or shuttle from Chitavechia to Vatican area?

Or price of taxi from San Peitro train station to the Vatican?

We are 3 people and my MIL can't walk to far.

Hi we went last year and the taxi from the ship to the Vatican was 400 euros return.

While you can sometimes find a taxi at the San Pietro station you cannot count on it. One option is the #64 bus, which starts at the station.

 

As you can see on this map of the bus route (http://viaggiacon.atac.roma.it/?service=trovalinea&linea=64&percorso=64R) the third stop is across the street from Piazza San Pietro, in front of the basilica. If you are headed to the museums it's still a three-quarters of a mile walk from this bus stop.

With mobility issues, I would just bite the bullet and do a private hire (like Rome Cabs or Rome in Limo). Taxi won't be as comfortable and probably cost about the same.
