Marriott Hollywood Beach

Any fellow cruisers have any thoughts on this hotel? Just booked 1 night post cruise in Dec 16. Taxi or shared shuttle from POM better option? Thanks in advance for any input.

We have stayed here before, and booked again for a few nights prior to our cruise this year. Beautiful property, right on the boardwalk - so if are getting in early, you can walk or rent a bike for a couple of hours. Restaurant in the property is fine - nothing special - normal hotel restaurant. There are lots of small restaurants along the boardwalk - I also recommend a greek restaurant called Opa - if you like that type of cuisine.

 

We had a rental car, so I can't comment on the price of taxi to/from airport and cruise port - both were about a 10-15 minute ride.

 

We really loved this location - to be on the beach, but away from all of the cruise craziness of the port area and general crowds of downtown FLL.

It's the Broadwalk not Boardwalk.

 

To the OP, make sure you walk down to the Margaritaville Resort and check it out. It's really cool.
