TSCOTT Posted November 12, 2005 #58 Share Posted November 12, 2005 We each bring a good book or two to read on the plane and sea days. I also enjoy crossword puzzles. On our next cruise, I will probably also bring a walkman to listen to CD's.
AmandaNS Posted December 18, 2005 #59 Share Posted December 18, 2005 DH and I usually take a few books, some cards / travel games, and this year we'll be taking some of our newly-addictive Su Doku puzzles. Our last cruise we did very little reading, but did play cards each night. This trip will only have 2 sea days, so we'll be spending most of our time in port. We also have about 8 hours of flying each way to and from the pier. Oh, and I might bring a small cross-stitch, something that will travel well. raytownlady Posted December 28, 2005 #60 Share Posted December 28, 2005 Without any hesitation on my part, my DH, he makes all of our cruises wonderful.
cruisinbuddy Posted February 2, 2006 #61 Share Posted February 2, 2006 My sail & sign card. No electronics, no games, no toys. Maybe and I mean maybe a magazine. but that would be for the plane. My wife will bring a book.

Spikesgirl Posted February 7, 2006 #64 Share Posted February 7, 2006 I usually bring some books, which I leave on the ship, some quilting and a jigsaw puzzle, also destined to be left behind, finished or not....oh, and the husband! He's always very entertaining...:D Charlie
Sayyadina Posted February 8, 2006 #65 Share Posted February 8, 2006 I'm a crusin' newbie. I'm going to bring at least one book, a couple sudoku puzzles, and I do a Japanese embroidery called Temari so I'll probably bring one of those to work on. If nothing else they're good conversation starters ("what the hell is that thing?") I also make beaded jewelry, but I can just imagine a dish of beads tipping over at the pool. Spash, everyone slips and goes in....hey, could be fun.

CBussey64 Posted February 27, 2006 #67 Share Posted February 27, 2006 Who on earth would send this off in another direction? Steve I also brought a book this last time around. Found it was nice to come back to the cabin for a couple hours during the day and read on the balcony. Also brought the Magic Bullet (BLENDER....you pervs:p ) so I could enjoy a rita or two during said quiet time. Don't you just LOVE your bullet blender? I took mine to Vegas last year on my annual Girl's weekend (Broad Squad as my DH states) and we had a blast making our own margarita's, and saving $$$$ for other stuff instead of on alcohol. :p
