The village of Ceret vs Collioure

I am not a "true" cruiser and have a first Regent cruise on Explorer booked for March 2017 (!) but I happen to have spent time in both towns on a land-based trip. Both towns are really really lovely. Coullioure will be closer but if it's in the summer, probably quite busy since it is a waterfront resort spot. If not the height of summer, terrific choice. Ceret is a wonderful small gem with a great little square, museum, and a handful of great galleries. The drive is not too picturesque but once there, it's just the right amount of discovered-but-not.
