Excursions - NYC, Norfolk or take OBC

When we signed up last week we took the Olife free 5, looking at local tour companies the excursions seem cheaper on our own but 2 big questions.

 

1. How does one get to NYC center to do the tours if you don't take the Shorex's.

 

2. We have free internet, prepaid gratuities, and 200 OBC already. We don't drink much and other than massages for me what would we do with the 1k OBC?
