After that fantastic dinner, we went back to the room to get ready for the evening and we found this guy on our bed...

And these snacks on our table.

We had asked for extra paper napkins...

We took the Handy Phone and brought Melissa to Splash Academy for tonight's activity of "Cowboys In Outer Space" and went to the casino to see if I could get a repeat performance of last night. Mike found he liked the Wheel of Fortune machine and I went back to Quick Hits. I put a $20 bill in the machine and pushed the button. I heard ringing. Did I win? NO! It was the Handy Phone. Melissa wasn't feeling well and wanted to be picked up. OK, I'll be right there. I tell Mike, and he says he will have to meet us back at the room. He had hit on the Wheel of Fortune for $1400 and was waiting for the Casino Host. Nice!

So I got Melissa and we went back to the room. A few drops behind her ears and she was OK but just wanted to chill out and watch a movie. In the Haven you get free on demand movies. She picked Hotel Transylvania 2 and watched it for the first of around 8 times on the ship. She really liked it. Blah, blah, blah!

We made it an early night and just got a good sleep.

Today we woke up early and decided to go to breakfast at the Haven Restaurant. Are you noticing a pattern here? LOL

While we were at breakfast, we were talking to another couple that loves Puerto Rico. Every time they go, they make sure they go to a certain restaurant for......wait for it......PIZZA. What? You go to Puerto Rico for pizza? Not just any pizza. This pizza has Goat Chesse, Smoked Salmon, and Red Onion. They weren't sure of the name, but it is frequented by the locals so maybe they will know. What we really wanted to try to find was a place that had Mofungo.

I am not really sure what we did after breakfast because I don't have any pictures to document it, so I can only assume we went back to the ropes course.

Actually, this may have been the day that we were approaching a storm and had to close the ropes course and bounce. So we went back to the room and I was able to get these shots from our balcony.

The rain had stopped by around lunch time, so we decided to walk around and see what grabbed us. I noticed that even though it was a Port Day, since we weren't docking until 3pm, Ocean Blue on the Waterfront was open. Let's get some lunch.

While we were waiting for our food, I got these pictures

Then it was back to our room to watch as we approached San Juan. You can see another ship following behind. It was a little drizzly out but it was warm. It would get sunny and humid later.

Thrusters on to help us get into position at the pier. This is what causes the "shaking" or the "vibrations" that people have complained about in other posts.

It started to rain while we were pulling in, but it kind of looked like snow or hail.

We went up to the Haven lounge at 2:45 to meet the Concierge Anoop and he would escort us off the ship. Easy peasy.

We wanted to go to CVS to get a few things and I wanted to go to the Del Sol store. Then we would check and see if we could find the pizza place. I wonder if they have Mofongo?

The Gem was right next to the Breakaway. We were talking to Gem passengers in CVS and they mentioned that the waterslides were still not working. Yikes.

We went to CVS and then we started the hike to the Del Sol store. On the map it looked like it was close by, just down the block and around the corner. Oh my. Nope. It was a trek uphill, on uneven roads. And it was HOT and HUMID!! The sweat was pouring off of us. We finally made our way to Del Sol and we purchased most of our souvenirs there. We decided to ask the employees about the pizza place and they seemed surprised that we knew of it. It was on the street we were on but down the road a bit still. It had a small store front and it is very easy to miss.

Some random pictures of San Juan along our walk

We found it! at first we weren't sure because they have a big guy posted at the door, like a bouncer. They sure don't try and make you feel welcome. Until you are inside. The menu was posted outside. I wish we had looked at it before we went in because it was SO dark inside. We had to use a flashlight app to see the menus in front of us.

Aw thanks for the kind words. What part of Valley Stream were you from? North, Central, or South. I'm in South, right near Green Acres.

We were in room 15104.

Wow! I'm not too far from Valley Stream. I also shop at Green Acres mall.
