xpanmanx Posted January 19, 2016 #1 Share Posted January 19, 2016 (edited) Our PVP (who is AWESOME!) had to split our party a little differently than we'd imagined. We wanted DH + DW + DD14 in one cabin, and DS16 + DS12 in the other. Our PVP said the system was forcing him to swap DD14 and DS12, but assured us it won't be a problem for us to adjust the sleeping arrangements after boarding. Has anyone had a similar experience, and how did it work out for you? Edited January 19, 2016 by xpanmanx
KenMo Posted January 19, 2016 #2 Share Posted January 19, 2016 I have no idea why the swap was necessary, but don't worry. Go to the Purser's desk and they will arrange it how you want. They do this all the time.
fuddrules Posted January 19, 2016 #3 Share Posted January 19, 2016 (edited) Here's the policy for 12 and younger and 13-17: Guests 12 and younger If the relative or guardian insists on booking separate staterooms, minors must either be directly across the hall or next door. Guests 12 and under may not be assigned to a balcony stateroom without a relative or guardian. Guests 13 - 17 years of age Can be booked up to 3 staterooms away from their relative or guardian. This may apply but as the previous poster said you likely be able to swap back the way you want once on board. I once had them balk at doing this but once I pointed out that we were only 3 cabins away and the cabin had a 16 year old and then they didn't have a problem with doing it. Micahs Grandad Posted January 19, 2016 #4 Share Posted January 19, 2016 When you go to guest services make sure you are all there.
springs741 Posted January 19, 2016 #5 Share Posted January 19, 2016 Were you booking two balcony staterooms? Not a problem to switch. You don't even need to switch officially. But you might want an extra key to the kids room. Have a wonderful cruise.
