has anyone taken a river cruise through portugal and northern spain. the itinerary sounds great but would like some input before we book. by the way, we generally travel in late september or early october. we are seasoned travelers (17 cruises on 8 different lines) and several european land vacations, but have never done a river cruise. how is this experience different?

We are thinking of the same river cruise. I really would like to know someone who has been on the cruise before I book it. We are interested in the Douro Cruise with Uniworld. Someone just came back and didn't like it, but I think that their ship was old and accomodations poor. They said the towns were boring and all vineyards.
