Roussillon, France

Our ship will be docking for the day in Marseille and I was looking at the ship excursions. One town grabbed my eye - Roussillon. Has anyone been? From what I read/saw, they are at the centre of an ochre deposit, making for some spectacular photos. My question: we're in the town itself for one hour; can you see some views of the ochre from town?

We spent some time in Roussillion when in Provence in September. It is a lovely town and, yes, you can see some of the ochre formations as you walk into town. But to get the best view, you can pay for entry into the Park and take a hike around the area (not too strenuous); just be prepared for red dust feet.
