Lisa77064 Posted January 24, 2016 #1 Share Posted January 24, 2016 Help! Cruising Radiance in June to Alaska for sister's 65th birthday. I would like to put some sort of whiteboard or writing paper on the door for other passengers to write BD wishes. I've never decorated a cabin door before. Read a few suggestions but does anyone have a creative way to encourage other passengers to write a birthday wish? Just not feeling creative :( One year, I left a note for my son on my door advising him of my whereabouts and how I kept missing him. When I returned, someone wrote on the note but it wasn't my son. I DIED laughing. I hope no gets offended but the response was "Sorry Mom, I was banging the chick in the cabin next door. Catch up with you later!" Loved it. nativetexan Posted January 24, 2016 #2 Share Posted January 24, 2016 I purchased a whiteboard type decorative sheet that was held in place with static. Got it at target in the office/party section. Also purchased "21" items and hung from the ceiling in the alcove of the door. Got lots of birthday wishes! It was a fun way to celebrate. Lisa77064 Posted January 24, 2016 Author #3 Share Posted January 24, 2016 Great idea. Never thought about a hanging decoration from the ceiling. That would definitely bring attention. The doors are metal, correct? I could probably glue a magnetic strip to wipe off markers and leave them on the door as well. I needed your boost. I was just not feeling it. I was stuck on a single whiteboard with no frills. Thanks. :D
SonicShip Posted January 25, 2016 #4 Share Posted January 25, 2016 The ceilings are metal too. So you can use magnet to hang things if they can handle the weight.
Semi Retired Posted January 25, 2016 #5 Share Posted January 25, 2016 I bought magnetic sheets and photo paper from Staples to make my own with my printer. You can buy magnet thin strips at a dollar store and put on back of stuff. Just keep in mind...don't hang stuff from ceiling sprinkler.
