ggirl003 Posted February 21, 2016 #26 Share Posted February 21, 2016 I am happy for all of you who have had such good fortune getting these giftcards. I always "Just miss" them. I'll keep trying though. : )

Jenn24101 Posted February 21, 2016 #28 Share Posted February 21, 2016 The aarp and Verizon gift cards come from the same place and stock at the same time. So watch either thread for when they come available.
lolavix Posted February 21, 2016 #29 Share Posted February 21, 2016 I think GCs are only through Verizon Wireless, not other Verizon accounts. We have Verizon for internet, cable and landline, and I didn't see any GCs through that account. For the AARP GCs, you don't need to sign up to be an AARP member. However, you will need to sign up to use the website, and you'll need to have sufficient points to purchase the discounted GCs. I haven't seen anyone mention that here, only to go to AARP "Rewards for Good". I signed up there and took a bunch of quizzes on their site to rack up some points. If you sign in every day, you'll also get points. You'll need at least 1000 points to purchase a $100 GC, and it goes up from there. Wondering if we'll see any GCs this week, as they weren't offered at all last week...;)
angela12345 Posted February 21, 2016 #30 Share Posted February 21, 2016 How do you subscribe to a thread? Someone will post to those threads the next time they become available (except for the people who don't search or realize those threads exist and start a brand new thread, haha), so it would be helpful for you to 'subscribe' to those threads. Also, make sure you are set up for instant notification. The gift cards require a very quick response time ! Depending on your account settings, you may already be subscribed. When you are logged in to Cruise Critic and are in the thread you want to subscribe to, at the top of the column, click on Thread Tools (right under the page numbers). If you are already subscribed, you will have the option to unsubscribe. If you aren't subscribed yet, you can click on "subscribe to this thread". That will automatically take you to the option to choose instant notification by email before you click Add subscription. If you are already subscribed, then you will want to make sure you are set up for instant notification. To do that, click on User CP (all the way to the left in the bar under the cruise critic blue ribbon logo at the top of this page). Then click on List Subscriptions OR View All Subscribed Threads. Check the box to the right of the title of the thread. At the bottom of the list of threads there will be a dropdown with a default of Move to Folder listed. Change this to Instant email notification, and click Go.
