Amerisuites

Airport is no problem but it can get very hecktic to the port & many chose to take a cab instead which should be around 10 - 15 USD due to fuel hikes now plus tip.... Ask the night before when you check in if there is a waiting list but the front desk will probably tell you first come first serve. We have always been lucky but there have been mornings when it has been chaotic.

We just returned 10/08. The shuttle was fine from the airport. Next morning there were alot of people waiting for the one to the port. Many taxi drivers came by offering $10 rides (per cab) to the port. Many people took them up. It seemed so much easier. We ended up taking a cab to Miami port because it seemed like it would take forever for the shuttle to take us back to the airport to pick up the tri-county car we planned on using. Taxi driver said $70 ($10 more than we planned to pay tri county) even if the meter ran over. I think it was a wise move that saved us a couple hours.

You can leave your car at AmeriSuites if you spend a night. It's a good neighborhood, but the lot is wide open and unsecured, there are no guarantees someone won't come in and steal or vandalize a car.

Park 'n Fly is a safer option... http://www.pnf.com/ftlauderdale/default.htm

If you're only coming from Boynton Beach, Park 'n Fly is $45 per week according to their website, far less than a night at AmeriSuites.

Normally it has taken up to three days for us to hear back from Valuetrips on an Amerisuites reservation. But last week it took 4 hours after we booked before we received our confirmation. I was absolutely amazed. I must have booked right before they did their emails to answer requests.
