Laoghaire Posted October 8, 2005 #1 Share Posted October 8, 2005 Hi...Does any know if day visitors are allowed at Sandy Lane beach? Went there several years ago without a problem, and was wondering if it is still possible. Thanks for any help...Helen

Thanks for any help...Helen One can access the beach, as all are open to the public in Barbados, but you cannot get there through the resort. My best wishes for a wonderful time on the island! :) :) :)

vamcd Posted October 26, 2005 #4 Share Posted October 26, 2005 we are on the 11/29 legend and are looking for an afternoon at the beach in barbados. some shade-?palapas, beach chairs, snorkeling and food. not too far from the boat, or a taxi ride. thanks for the input. Sunniebgi Posted October 27, 2005 #5 Share Posted October 27, 2005 The closest beach for walking that has all the requirements, VMCD, is Weisers. Although snorkeling is likely not on the menu. but the area has a nice wide beach and you can rent chairs and umbrellas (although this might be included in a cover charge, sort of like BoatYard). Boatyard, while not really a walk from the port, can be a walk if you don't mind walking for about 30min. Sounds far but really isn't.. you can walk through Bridgetown and it's just on the other side of Bridgetown on Bay street. You can then take a taxi back. or head up the west coast to Paynes Bay, by taxi.. get off at the Coach House Entrance to the beach.. (my favorite beach). From there, if you want to see Sandy Lane Beach, you head north along the beach and you will get there in about 5-10min. Enjoy
