RCI EXcursions

We are going on Allure inFeb. and have booked the RCI st john champagne tour, which is a catamaran tour, snorkelling or ride to the beach, 1.5 hours beachtime and snacks and drinks on the way back. Has anyone done this tour recently? Will we be packed in like sardines on the boat? Will we get wet on the boat? Are there other better excursions. We just want some time on a boat and some beach time, we don't really want snorkelling. We are only 3 people so we don't want to book a private charter for ourselves. Thanks for your help.
