Transportation & Hotels @ LAX

How far is San Pedro (Island Princess Cruiseline) from LAX ? What would a taxi cost or a shuttle to there?... We are comming in a couple of days early (March 5th) We plan on staying at LAX...also plan on staying 1 nite after the cruise at LAX... So does anyone have any suggestions about Hotels and transportation ??? Thanks

There are loads of hotels on LAX property. You should not have any problem finding one. We had a rental car and came from Santa Clarita to San Pedro & then to LAX. Depending on traffic you are 1.5-2 hrs away if I remember right.

I stayed at the LAX Marriott and booked it through Princess. It was very nice and quite reasonable. Princess also made transportation available. I would never cab it to the pier.

Search through this board for LAX or Los Angeles and you'll find tons of information about what you need to know. The cab ride is between US$35-$50 depending on traffic. You can reserve shuttle buses as well. I'm not sure what the shuttle buses cost. Supershuttle.com and Primetimeshuttle.com are two of the shuttle services in LA.
