muskrat897 Posted October 9, 2005 #2 Share Posted October 9, 2005 I have been to Nassau several times both as AB and now in a wheelchair. Unfortunately, the city does not have curb cuts and stores on Bay street are not easily accessible. The straw market, though congested, is quite accessible for wheelchairs or power chairs.;)

DEL67 Posted November 7, 2005 #5 Share Posted November 7, 2005 You can get around downtown Nassau iin a manual chair if you have someone to get you up the curbs. The straw market is too congested for a wheelchair, but the Pirates Museum is accessible. Its less than a 10 minute "walk" from the pier. Accessible transportation is difficult to get in Nassau, but if you can transfer to a taxi, you could go to Paradise island or Ardastra Gardens & Conservation Center. I have not been tio either, but I was informed that both are at least partially accessible.
