ptiprof Posted February 22, 2016 #1 Share Posted February 22, 2016 We are frequent cruisers but new to Windstar, and we're looking forward to our Spanish Serenade this fall. It appears that breakfast and lunch hours on the Star Breeze are fairly limited, and I don't see anything but "light sandwiches and cookies" etc. available from around 2 pm until dinner at 7:00. Other than room service, is there nowhere to eat when we arrive back at the ship from a day ashore or during a lazy afternoon onboard? I have never been on any ship from Carnival to Regent, that didn't have some kind of deck grill, large or small buffet, etc., and I'm one of those folks who has to eat frequently. I know that Windstar ships are smaller, but Azamara had less than 700 passengers and there was always food available. Does anyone know where I can find the Star Breeze room service menu? Many thanks. Strenz Posted February 22, 2016 #3 Share Posted February 22, 2016 The Yachtclub has wonderful sandwiches, cookies, fruit, yogurt all day long. Speciality coffees and teas as well. On the sailboats and the motor yachts both are lovely spaces. In the am it opens at 6 and had pastry and fruit. Wonderful place to meet, read, relax. The sandwiches are really delicious. Great espressos. Happy Sailing
Erica@cruisecritic Posted February 22, 2016 #4 Share Posted February 22, 2016 I agree with everyone that the Yacht Club snacks are great. In addition, there are passed hors d'oeuvres at the Lounge and Star Bar pre-dinner -- wasn't sure if this was every night or just certain nights. mominhouston Posted February 22, 2016 #5 Share Posted February 22, 2016 I do not recall exactly what time lunch ended but we were off the boat in every port and I do not recall it being a problem. Most days we had lunch in the dining room and 1 or 2 days we ordered from Room service. However I really think the room service was not bc we missed lunch but rather bc we were hungry between lunch and dinner. One day we grabbed some sandwiches from the Yacht club knowing we would be off the ship for most of the day. These were yummy!
ptiprof Posted February 22, 2016 Author #6 Share Posted February 22, 2016 Thanks all. It seems that I can get a sandwich in the afternoon but not a meal except for room service.
