10 pm debarkation - when will we get luggage?

We have a 10 pm debarkation. Any ideas of when we would get our luggage? I don't want to be worrying about leaving our suitcases out overnight. So would it be best to do FTTF?

They begin loading the luggage onto the ship and delivering it as people check in and board. Unless you check in at the last possible minute (like 9:00 pm) it should be there that night. If it's a short cruise, have you considered just doing carry ons?
