Hello fellow cruisers!

I'm not popular but I love to cruise and do my review thing. I hope I don't offend anybody and I hope you guys like my basic review.

My name is Lisa (45) and I travel with my husband, Chuck (50), on this trip we took my daughter Brianna who turned 21 on the day we sailed.

I want to send a big shout out to "CanAmerican travel friends", they made this trip memorable and I'm glad to be a part of the family!

Now onto the basic review. ..........

This is the most exciting thing to see! We flew out to Puerto Rico 2 days before the cruise and we stayed 1 day after the cruise. 2, 1, +7...10 days away from home during the winter isn't a bad vacation!

A queen has to get ready!!

Let's head to B-more and park this baby for 10 days!

Thi is my daughter, Brianna. She wore something EVERY DAY OF THE TRIP TO LET EVERYBODY KNOW IT WAS HER BIRTHDAY, sash, tiara, buttons, etc. It's 5a, who cares?!?!

Ahhhhh, we're flying out of BWI tomorrow morning for this same cruise :D

I actually have 2 quick questions. What time did they start boarding and what night was the 2nd formal night?

Thanks in advance.

We went on the premier cruise which gave us priority boarding and we started 11:30a or so. The 2nd formal night is Friday. Have a great cruise! !!!!

So we get settled in our cozi crib and then we venture out, one great thing about Old San Juan is not needing a car, you can walk everywhere! So we ventured close to the pier where we found Senor Frog. They had a special, all you can drink for 20 bucks...Welcome to Puerto Rico!

Sidenote: if you participate in the stage games, you won't need an all you can drink special.

I have video but it won't post so I'll be back to that.

We found a great restaurant called Raices and I did a TripAdvisor review on it. This is outside of the restaurant where the hostess is dressed in traditional clothing.

The inside of the restaurant was decorated with traditional items, murals, and furniture. Great place and food. "Sorry for the dark pictures".

I ordered the Kan Kan pork chop....do you guys see this monster? It was tender, juicy, and delicious!

My daughter had this but I can't remember what it was.

My honey had fried pork chunks but he said it was dry. The rice was delicious, it had beans and meat in it.

The bathroom's facet was a replica of how water would come out of a well.

With our bellies full, we head over to the ferry to go to the Bacardi Rum factory. It cost $1.00 to go round trip. I believe they run every 30 minutes.

We made it....whatever tour you buy comes with a free drink and you get to keep the plastic cup. We chose the mixology class along with the tour.. $45.00.

This is the waiting area, they had food too but it was expensive.

Great start! You have a lovely family! We sailed the Liberty January, 2015, and tho spirit class are our favorite ships, I LOVED the Liberty. So so so pretty with all those color changing lights all over the ship. We are on the Pride for the Journey's cruise 3/13-3/27, so we will keep the ship in good shape for you! :p:rolleyes:;)
