hunter6009 Posted October 12, 2005 #1 Share Posted October 12, 2005 DH and I are planning a Sept. cruise with our then will be 2 year old DS. This coming Jan. 06 we are going on a Disney cruise with him as he is not old enough for Camp Carnival or other cruise line day programs and Disney has Flounders Nursery for him (and us!). However, Disney is more expensive, and doesn't go to very many ports of call. We have been looking at the Miralce for Sept. 06. Anyone had any experience with this ship and a young child? How did you like it? Is there a minimum amount of children allowed in Camp Carnival each day and how do you sign them up? Will a 2 year old enjoy the activities? What about the ports of call this ship goes to? Anything for him to do? Can DH and I go to shore while he's in Camp Carnival or do the "beepers" not go that far? How's the weather in Sept.?? Thanks for the suggestions!
glen tev Posted October 16, 2005 #2 Share Posted October 16, 2005 We did the Miracle out of ny in 04 with our 2 year old.Whether it was our daughter or the camp as soon as she got a little fussy the beeper went off and they wanted her out without really giving us a answer of what the problem was. They seemed to me to not want to be bothered and only wanted kids who would entertain themselves. After 2 or 3 times of this we just kept her with us and took her to the shows, pools wherever and she seemed to have a great time.RCCL Adventure ocean seemed much better than Carnival for kids, bigger area ,more activities and more involved. Were going to try NCL Dawn next and see how that is. hunter6009 Posted October 17, 2005 Author #3 Share Posted October 17, 2005 B/c our DS will not yet be 3 or potty trained and will not be able to do any of the programs without us there. Otherwise, we'd be going! Thanks for the info. on the Miracle. Hopefully this doesn't happen to us!
