Question about paying for a better room.

If I have an outside room and would like a balcony would they charge me the current difference from going to balcony or would they use my original price I paid and I just pay the difference? For example... The outside room right now is $750. I paid $600. Right now you can book a balcony for $800. Would they want $50 or $200 pp?

They would want the difference you already paid from the current price...so $200.

 

Your stateroom is not an investment. It does not go up in value as prices rise!

The reason I asked is because RCCL actually does that. The always just make me pay the difference between the current prices.

I'm guessing $200. But only NCL knows for sure. Give them a call...or your TA if you used one. If cabin prices have gone up, that indicates cruise is selling well, no need to discount. If they had gone down, you might have been able to get a free or discounted upgrade.
