GC with kids- Disney Magic

Kids don't snorkel, that was a disaster last time. Not interested in beaches, we'll be going to CC. Ages 10 & 11. Looking for non-organized walking tour. Just get off the DCL Magic, walk around a bit, take a few pics and get back to the ship.

Q: Which way should we go when we get off the tender so we can get to some shops, check wifi, have a snack, take a few kitschy pics and leave?

The shops and shopping are right across from the tender dock. There are public buses that can take you to many non-beach places! $2.50 pp.

Go to your library and pick up a guidebook. Research is key to DIY days! GC is a very, very easy DIY port!!!!

And, because you aren't really on a timetable, there's no need to "rush" off the ship! Let the 1st few tenders go, and then you can leave at your leisure!

You will tender right into town. Just walk off the tenders and take a look around. Might I suggest you take a right turn and head to Paradise Grill for Lunch. Nice local place overlooking the water, and they feed the tarpon there, so the kids can take a look at the huge fish right at the water's edge. Decent food, great atmosphere.

Lots of shops in town. Plenty to see and do on a walking tour. If you want, there is a pool at the Margaritaville and it has a slide. It's on the second floor overlooking the tender piers. We usually end our day in GC here before we get back on the tenders. It's close to the piers so you know you are right there when the times comes.

Georgetown is a nice little town to walk around. Food will be expensive an listed in Cayman $$ so even more than it shows if you pay in US$$. I don't know the current exchange rate, but plan on spending a few bucks on food and drink. It's NOT a cheap island.
