Format nights and Photos. (Anthem)

Recommended Posts

There are No set formal nights. But if you have classic dining, you will rotate through the four complimentary restaurants. The nights you are in The Grande will be your formal nights, as that is the formal venue. Photos are taken every night, IIRC. At any rate, you'll have plenty of chances for formal photos.

First, I was totally amazed that on our Anthem 3 day cruise, there were so many people dressed to the nines on the second night (traditionally the formal night on any cruise). And even again the next night. But each of those nights the photo people had all the usual formal photo op set ups. Trust me, as Golfmom said, you will have no shortage of opportunities to get formal photos. One spot that people particularly seemed to like was in front of the big ball of lights on deck 5 in front of the aft elevators. That's the ball with the podium where you place your hands on the metal strips and the lights start moving in sync to your pulse.

I'm not sure what happens in the US but on our sailing last year from Uk they had what they called a Royal Night when the Captain gave his usual speech and was available for photos. As well as that night the photographers were there every night taking the usual photos.

The Grande is the formal restaurant where you can dress up every night if you so wish.
