Amsterdam Azura

Just a quick question?

We have booked a cruise in April to Guernsey and Amsterdam (first cruise with my partner). I was wondering if the ship actually docks in Amsterdam? I have sailed with P&O before and the itinerary stated Amsterdam however we docked in Rotterdam?

Any information would be appreciated as I am working out whether I need to book an excursion or not.

Many thanks in advance!!!

If it says Amsterdam then it will be Amsterdam. The cruise terminal is about a 10-15 min walk to the main central railway station from where you can take a tram or a canal tour.

However, access to Amsterdam is via a canal and the ship will be refused entry if there are strong winds. In this case, the ship may dock at another port subject to the availability of a berth, or maybe not dock at all.
