sabookkeeper Posted March 20, 2016 #1 Share Posted March 20, 2016 We arrived at Port Everglades and dropped off our luggage. We headed to the parking lot and asked the gentleman for the waiver of the fees as we have a scooter with a lift in our van. He said it will be taken care of on our way out (we were a little concerned because on the Port Everglades website it specifically says to get the waiver first). We parked the van and took the elevator down to the street level. We walked across the street and went up on the sidewalk and started heading toward the main entrance. A Princess Rep stopped us and said that we can go with the next group of wheelchair assisted passengers. We didn't wait 5 minutes when another rep came out to take the other passengers who needed assistance. We followed him in another entrance and went through a separate security. There was no line up to get our cruise cards. We then took an elevator up to the floor to board (there was a Princess rep at the elevator ensuring that only wheelchair/scooter passengers were allowed). When we exited the elevator another Princess Rep took us directly to the gangway to board. We were on board and at International Cafe in about 20 minutes. We were not in a hurry to disembark so we waited until the last group. When we came out to where the luggage is a Princess Rep found a porter for us. We got our luggage and followed him to a line up that only had 2 people in front of us. We were through quickly and he took our luggage and found me a spot in the shade to wait for my DH to get our van. When DH stopped to pay for parking he asked for the waiver, showed that we had a lift in the back and there was no problem. All in all, this was all quite easy and quick.
