dheianevans Posted March 22, 2016 #1 Share Posted March 22, 2016 Two unrelated topics but was just thinking of future Google searchers. :) I know the actual trains have restrooms but just wondering if the West Palm Beach Station by PBI has its own restroom. As for the kiosks...we'll be arriving with US cash but won't have change. I'm assuming, from a photo of a kiosk I saw, that it will accept bills and toss out any quarters if necessary? Finally, for any of the locals, is the Fort Lauderdale stop, not the Fort Lauderdale Airport stop, the best place to get off if you're heading to Las Olas? Will there be taxis waiting there? Thanks! fireofficer5 Posted March 22, 2016 #2 Share Posted March 22, 2016 None of the stations have rest rooms open to the public. The ticket machines take cash, credit cards and debit cards. If you use large bills, the ticket machine will give you change in dollar coins as well as quarters, dimes and nickels. The Broward Blvd. stop is closest to Las Olas. Taxis have always been there during the day, I ride the train two times a week. But you can call ahead of time to arrange a cab. 954-777-7777. BlueHerons Posted March 22, 2016 #3 Share Posted March 22, 2016 (edited) I just use a credit card. I don't remember any restrooms and would not use them if there are there. The station on Broward is the closest to Las Olas. People will tell you otherwise but I've never seen a cab at that train station however I'm not there when Amtrak arrives. Others have said there are cabs there often. I've always seen cabs at the airport station. Its in a MUCH better part of town than the Broward station.
