Does anyone know how I would go about doing this? We are traveling with 20 adults and I thought it could be a fun activity while at sea one day when the kids are at the club. Thanks!

Just do it. decide when to meet and what machine to use and meet there.

Yep, just figure out a day & time. Once on ship check with casino staff to make sure your time/day is okay with them. Depending on how many participating they may provide you with a prize or two also!

I am doing one, each person pays $15 per person. We play a dollar machine, max bet ($3 a spin), 5 times. Then at the end, once each person has taken a turn playing, you cash out & split the winnings.

It is fun & pretty easy to set up.

Hi Waterbabies

I know this is an old post but hoping you will see it.

Thanks for the info on the slot pull. I told our roll call that I would look into setting up a slot pull for immediately following our meet & greet.

Question - did you do anything/contact anyone before boarding the ship or just speak to the casino manager once on board?

Our M&G is the morning of second day. Is that enough time for the casino to do whatever they do? I can't see that they would actually have to do much of anything but i'm a newbie to this.

Thanks for any help/guidance.

I just did a cruise. I also spoke to Casino folks for doing a slot pull. They seem quite flexible. Told me I/we would be running the PULL. Do it however you want.

After your M&G group agrees to a day/time for the pull. Tell the casino manager or one of the staff. I would do this the first onboard day.

I was looking at doing it immediately after the M&G. However depending upon when the Latitudes Party starts. It might be best to do the PULL after the Latitudes Party. My last two Latitudes Parties were at 1 PM first sea day. Last two M&G were at 11 30 AM.

Thank you. Our M & G is at11:00 am the day after boarding so we are thinking 11:30 +/- so if I speak the casino folks the day of boarding we should be good, I think.

Hello BlueLadyBlue,

I've organized several slot pulls and they have all turned out really well. I usually speak with the casino manager once we are at sea and the casino opens. I don't like going there during peak times so you will have to judge how busy they are. I have always set up the slot pull for the 2nd sea day. Not after a M&G because there have been cabin crawls planned for that time. I've found the casino managers very nice. If you have any other questions, please feel free to ask.

Good Luck and Have a Great cruise!!

Kim

I just organized the slot pull on the Gem last month. I had it right after the meet and greet about 12pm on the first sea day. I went to the casino right after it opened on the first day, and spoke with casino manager, and asked for a bottle of wine for the highest finisher. She gave us 2!!!

She said they can't hold any machine, just show up. We had no problems and had fun! Make sure you request the wine!

I set up a slot pull also. I contacted the Casino manager once we were at sea. One thing I am not sure if a lot of people know, if you hit big, the person that pulled gets the W-2.

W-2?? Is that a tax form of some kind? We will be in South America - does anyone know if USA tax rules apply then?
