Charlo Posted October 14, 2005 #1 Share Posted October 14, 2005 To PoohUnderstands - Med Cruise 9/20/06 ?? Did I understand that you will be on Med Cruise with the Brilliance on 9/20/06 at the 8066 cabin ? I am one of those that does not like the long walks, the possible vibration and noises of any kind. I also would rather have a view of the side so that I can see the scenery much better. So needless to say, I think your choice of cabin is a great one!! Pooh
Coralc Posted October 20, 2005 #2 Share Posted October 20, 2005 I think Pooh means 8086 or 8088, which have bigger balconies. He/she seemed to be slightly confused when we were suggesting cabin numbers before they booked their cruise. Hopefully they made the right choice. :)
Charlo Posted October 21, 2005 Author #3 Share Posted October 21, 2005 Thank you pbhunt. Did you go on BOS? or on his sister or brother ? If so, if I had the choice between the 8066 (that is the one I have now), the 8594, 8596 or 8086 and 8088 (these two cabins are more expensive I think), witch one would you take ? I know that maybe I won't have choice anymore, if all those cabins are taken but we never know ... Lou I think Pooh means 8086 or 8088, which have bigger balconies. Coralc Posted October 22, 2005 #4 Share Posted October 22, 2005 We were on Brilliance OTS, 8086, we will be on Serenade next year. 8594 & 8596 are center of the hump. They have regular size or smaller balconies and a view to either end of the ship. I have not visited either one, but I might think they would be windy, out on the hump. I don't know if that is actually the case, or not. We chose 8088, for Serenade, it's an E-1 and has a huge balcony, comparable to the afts, with 2 loungers, 2-3 chairs and tables. :)
Coralc Posted October 22, 2005 #5 Share Posted October 22, 2005 Maybe Pooh Understands did choose 8066, although I don't see anything to recommend it, one way or another. The large balcony cabins are on either side of the hump, and they are larger on the port side, rather than starboard, because of the elevator design.:)
