Recent Diamond MUTS opinions

I was reading a few older threads about MUTS, particularly on Diamond where there were a lot of negative opinions about MUTS especially during the day.

 

We haven't done many cruises before and only one of them was a Princess cruise on the IP before they installed MUTS.

 

So I am curious what the more recent opinions are now from you more experienced cruisers? Do they tend to be quieter now?

 

Most of the complaints was the excessive noise during the day. Yes we can go elsewhere but our cabin D418 is midship below MUTS albeit on the Dolphin deck so I'm hoping we won't be able to hear MUTS on our balcony 6 decks below....

 

I really enjoy the solitude on the balcony only hearing the gentle waves off the ship! :)

I seriously don't think you'll hear it from your cabin but I can't say pool side during the day with it blaring away. It's much to distracting for my taste.

I also doubt you'll hear anything in your cabin. On our cruise, there was a morning (10 or so) and an afternoon (4PM) movie. There was nothing else happening during the day.

 

The cruise director has changed since our cruise a few weeks ago, so you may have a different experience.

After reading the older threads I was curious if things have changed since.... OK... maybe I got a bit paranoid... :D
