May 30 sunshine late departure?

Just curious if anyone knows why the Sunshine leaves at 6:00 pm? The ships usually leave ports before 5:00 pm. Is it because it's in Charleston South Carolina? We have never sailed from this port,

I believe this is the first cruise back from its dry dock, although I am not 100% (hopefully somebody can verify).

Could have something to do with the fact that it's a 10 day Journey cruise, requiring the loading of more goods onto the ship which does delay departure.

We are on this cruise and I think stormy_weather may be correct.

 

We have sailed from Charleston in the past but never left at 6:00. Also, there are actually two short cruises prior to ours but after the dry dock, so our ten day is actually the third cruise after the dry dock.

We are on the first cruise after her dry dock, May 21 from Charleston. We are scheduled to leave at 4 so thinking that maybe they are correct and it is due to having to load more supplies since a longer cruise?

Oh ok.....I didn't even think about all the extras that have to be loaded for a 10 day cruise :)
