Vista and Drink Package

Hi.

I'm sailing on the Vista February 2018.

I just sailed the Breeze and thought I remembered the Cheers package going up

prior to my sailing but cannot remember.

Would you purchase the Cheers package for two if you could to make sure you

are locked into your price since I have almost two years before sailing?

Can I get a refund if for any reason I have to cancel the cruise?

Thank you.

Yes it is refundable

Thank you very much. I guess I will just purchase since with the enhancements I can only see it will go up again shortly.

Thank you.

I would also purchase it now. You never know if the price will go up. I also would think about prepaying gratuities. The more you pay off now, the less you'll have to put down later. Prices don't go down, just up. Both are refundable if you cancel the cruise.

With full acknowledgement that some have said they got it refunded prior to sailing, the FAQ on carnival.com does have this little tidbit:

The following restrictions apply:

Guests must be 21 years or older to purchase and agree not to give to minors.

Each adult assigned to the same stateroom must purchase the program.

Guests must purchase the program for the entire cruise - this program is not offered on a per day basis.

Program is non-refundable.

Price adjustments (up or down) implemented on the day of sailing will replace any previously advertised price.....

Now....my opinion is this means that you can't buy it, then figure out on day 2 or 3 that you aren't going to drink that much and try to stop. BUT, it says what it says.

BUT, you won't "lock in the price" as any price adjustments that hit between now and then will, apparently, come home to roost on the day of sailing.

I believe if you pay for it now through the My Cruise link on the Carnival site, that is the price you pay. If you wait, they will charge you to price the package is on the day of sailing. If you pre-pay, you cannot pay it off with OBC, it goes straight to your credit card.

Yes, "advertised price", but once you buy it, that is your price. If you choose to wait and then tell them on the ship "it was advertised at a lower price on your website", they will tell you, as of today, this is the price, regardless of the advertised price when you booked.

That is not the way I read it. Although the use of "advertised price" is confusing, there is no need for an adjustment unless you have already purchased it. Otherwise, the price is just the price that day. "Adjustment" implies that you have already purchased the package and the price has changed (up or down).
