Four Points Sheraton Miami is it OK

Thinking of staying there with our two kids before setting sail on the NOS NEXT JULY is it far from the pier, and what is the area like....THANKS

It's an older hotel, about 20-30 minutes from the Port of Miami, nothing fancy, but on a nice beach, and okay if you're not expecting 4 or 5 stars.

 

The location is fine IF you have a car... If you don't have a car, then you'll want to stay elsewhere as there is nothing within walking distance but a few other hotels and a lot of condos. There are no restaurants or shopping other than what's in the few hotels.

I stayed here last year....It's okay, nothing to go out of your way for.

 

We took the public bus down to South Beach for $1.25 each way...tons of restaurants down there...I'd recommend against a car as there is no where to park without an outrageous fee.

The hotel is in the middle of Mid Beach and agree with others, can't get anywhere on foot. Lots of traffic.

 

You could walk on the boardwalk down to South Beach from there but it is about a two mile walk.
