Funship Dollars

My family has mentioned getting us funship dollars as gifts - sort of a HM registry I suppose!

I called Carnival and they told me I could just bring them on-board with me and apply them to my S&S acct at that time....no need to mail them in.

I guess my questions are:

1) Is there an expiration on them? If they give them to us for Christmas, will they still be *good* in July 06?

2) Is there anything they can't be used for (except for the cost of our cruise - I know that)? Once they are on our acct, isn't it just like cash?

3) What if we are super lucky and get lots....and then for some insane reason, we don't use it all up? Will we get a check at debarkation or will the refund in the form of funship dollars??

Thanks everyone! FI and I are new to Carnival and are SO EXCITED about our HM trip on Pride!!!! :D

1. The current batch doesnt expire until July 07

2. Nope - if you can charge it to your S&S then it works.

3. You will get a cashier's check at the end of the cruise ( which you can cash at the purser's desk )

Have fun on your honeymoon, my fiancee and I start our is just over a week now - we managed to rack up about $500 in Funship Dollars.

Funship dollars can be used to pay off your cruise too. You just sign them over to the agent. If you need cash from your account--jsut go to the casino and see the person in the cage...it will cost you 3%
